What is a happy place? Cambridge dictionary defines a happy place as “a memory, situation, or activity that makes you feel happy: If you feel stressed, take a few minutes and go to a happy place.” So if you’re asking yourself if a happy place can be a memory or simply a person you love to be with...yes! It totally can.
As cliche it is for a Massachusetts girl to say this...I’m going to say it anyways. My happy place is the cape. Over the years (especially the past three years) I have made so many wonderful memories on the cape with family and friends. I think the reason Cape Cod is my happy place is because I’m always there during the best time of the year...summer. As someone who loves spending time with her family, I love all of the crazy memories we make!! I have so many memories of my family out on the boat, in the ocean, on walks, on shopping trip, and of course family dinners. What means the most to me is that when I’m with my family, I can 100% relax and enjoy myself. In a way, the Cape is where we all go to run away from the real world!! I’d love to hear what your happy place is! If you’re interested in sharing, leave a comment below!
